complaints to the attorney general and to those who make complaints to that office within 60 days A Grandview vending machine supplier pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to making a false statement to a bank to help a customer get a $100000 loan backed by the Small Business Administration Earlier in the day the defendant John Thurston 44 signed an agreement with the Missouri attorney general to stop misrepresenting his products and to deliver vending machines or refund the money of more than 100 customers who have ordered about $2 SO 000 worth of the machines The machines vend such things as peanuts Thurston who lives in Overland Park is an officer of US Marketing Corp and Master Vend Corp he told US District Judge Brook Bartlett In the bank fraud case Thurston admitted that he used what was purported to be a copy of a canceled SO 000 check to support a request for a Small Business Aministration-backed loan to be used to buy his machines The copy was of a $2 1 check
