He leaves his wife, Debra J. Cason, of the home, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond L. and Enid L. Boyd of Olathe, KS, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. CECIL L.

COURTNEY Cecil L. Courtney, 72, Overland Park, KS, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2001, at home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf; burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.

Courtney was born in San Antonio, TX, and lived in this area since 1981. He worked for Yellow Freight for 26 years and retired in 1985. Cecil was an Army Air Force veteran serving in WWII. Arthur was born October 29, 1921, in Osage City, KS, and had lived in the KC area since 1940. He had been a maintenance electrician for Trailmobile for 43 years, retiring in 1983.

He was a Methodist, a member of the VFW. and Local 1964 Steelworkers Union, and was an Army veteran of World War Il and the Timberwolves. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Crable, in 1988, and a granddaughter, Lisa Edwards, in 1980. He is survived sons and their wives, Timothy Louise Crable, Kansas City, KS, James Debbie Crable, Abilene, KS, Randall Peggy Crable, Santa Fe, TX, Steven W. Dan was born February 1, 1969, in Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Lone Jack, MO, and graduated from Lone Jack High School. He worked for A.E. Nielson. Dan was an avid bike rider and enjoyed riding with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard W. Estes. He is survived by his mother, Karen Estes, Florida, a sister, Kim Gerstner, Lone Jack, MO, a niece, Heather Brown a nephew, Tanner Gerstner, and many other family and friends. Raymond Haller 77, of Kansas City, KS, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at the Providence Medical Center.

Raymond "Junior" was born January 27, 1924, in Warrensburg, MO, to Raymond and Oma Brown Haller, and had been a resident of Kansas City, KS, most of his life. He was an equipment operator for over 30 years for the USD 500 School District retiring in 1987, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and attended the Argentine Mennonite Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie O'Neal Haller in 1993.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Haller, of the home; three daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Pat Stanley, Basehor, KS, and their chiland Matt, and grandchild, Christopher; Nancy and Craig Howell, Piper, KS, and their children, Chris, Gita, Paul, Brian, Brooke, Courtney and Candice; and Barbara Stanley Cygan, Kansas City, KS, and their children, Daniel and Annie. Mrs. Mellon was born on January 6, 1920, in Elmira, MO, the daughter of Martin Sharp and Carrie Pollard Sharp. She was a lifelong area resident. She was married to Frank Mellon in June of 1941, in Ray County, MO. He preceded her in death in 1986.

She was a member of the Lawson United Methodist Church. Her family includes a daughter, Linda Chambers of Polo, MO, three sons, Louie MelIon, Ronnie and his wife, Diana Mellon, and Richard and his wife, Cindy Mellon of Lawson, MO, her grandchildren, Sheila Rardon, Shannon Chavez, Shane Rardon, Danny Mellon, Rodney and Ryan Mellon and Kelli Mellon, great-grandchildren, Morgan Fitzwater, Robin and Randy Cline, Triston and Dalton Rardon, Sheena and Dustin Sullard, Devin Mellon, Alex and Adam Mellon, Ashlyn Riley Mellon. Mr. Munkirs was born March 4, 1915, in Excelsior Springs, MO, and lived most of his life in Excelsior Springs. He had worked at McCleary Hospital in Excelsior Springs and at the Elms Hotel as a bellman for over 40 years. He had also worked at the Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL, before moving to Lathrop 18 years ago to live with his daughter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Excelsior Springs, and was an Army veteran of WWII.

He was united in marriage to Edrie Irene Hughs in 1946; she preceded him in death in 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents, William Jewell and Alice Duncan Munkirs, one stepdaughter, Bonnie Grimes in 1991, and one brother, William Jewell Munkirs Jr. He is survived by one daughter, Jane Swindler of Lathrop, MO, six grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren. Martha was very active in many civic groups in Santa Fe Springs, and served as the president of the Santa Fe Springs Women's Club. Survivors include her husband, Henry Clyde Newton, Santa Fe Springs, CA, a son, Mark Newton, Corona, CA, two daughters, Patricia Martinez, Kansas City, KS, and Jennie! JOSEPHINE V. PARK Josephine V. Park, 99, Platte City, MO, passed away June 23, 2001, at Hillview Nursing Rehab, Platte City. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Muehlebach Funeral Home, Kansas City, MO; interment at Floral Hills Cemetery.

Visitation will be p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Park was born February 14, 1902, in Omaha, NE.

She was a member of Marlborough United Methodist Church and the Sew Sew Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Park, in December 1976. She is survived by hers sons, James A. and wife Anabel Park, and Edward "Bud" Lee Park, all of Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren; 15 great and six great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church and a lifelong Basehor area resident. She greatly enjoyed raising her family and helping on their farm.
